NIIF case study

THE CHALLENGE:

Originally known as IDFC Infrastructure Finance Limited (IDFC-IFL), the name of the company changed to NIIF Infrastructure Finance in 2019 when the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) of India acquired equity stake in this Non- Banking Finance Company (NBFC). With this change, the company had to set up a separate IT estate from the one it previously shared with IDFC IFL. Moreover, it was crucial to protect confidential data, enhance safety, security and efficiency in processes and achieve compliance as per the RBI guidelines for IT framework for NBFCs.

THE SOLUTION:

IZO™ private cloud from Tata Communications enables NIIF Infrastructure Finance to manage its IT environment effectively. Its cloud governance platform, IZO™ Cloud Command, enables the IZO™ private cloud customers to connect with Tata Communications from anywhere, anytime. It is the single pane of glass orchestration tool that brings all the elements together and provides better visibility and control across network, compute and storage. The Global Service Management Centre (GSMC) team ensures 24/7/365 proactive monitoring and end-to-end management for the customer’s cloud and security infrastructure, using industry-recognised processes aligned to ITIL framework.

THE RESULT:

Seamless migration happened from IDFC IFL data centre to Tata Communications IZO™ private cloud. Users were seamlessly able to connect and operate without any downtime / disruptions to business operations. The scalable infrastructure ensures the customer can increase computing storage quickly. Also, the integrated security services ensure that infrastructure is protected from external threats.

“After NIIF Infrastructure Finance Limited became a separate entity, it had to operate in compliance with the RBI regulations for NBFCs. This would include all IT regulatory aspects from infrastructure to operating systems. Tata Communications enabled us set up a secure cloud-based infrastructure that will effortlessly keep pace with technology trends.”
