Order & Service Status Reference

As an order is delivered and a service runs its course, the TCx Portal shows a status against each component. This page defines every status, what it means for you, and what you can do next. A service becomes usable for changes only when it reaches Active.

What it means

What you can do

Under Provisioning

You have placed the order and Tata Communications is provisioning the solution. The configuration is being applied.

Wait for provisioning to complete. You can follow progress from Order Tracking.

Provisioning Failed

The automated provisioning did not complete. This is not a dead end: Tata Communications configures the service manually, after which it moves to Provisioned and then Active.

No action needed. Delivery continues manually, it may take a little longer.

Provisioned

The technical configuration is complete, but some delivery tasks (for example, billing set-up) are still to close.

Wait for the remaining tasks to close, the service will move to Active.

Active

The technical configuration is complete and billing has started. The service is live.

Monitor the service, make changes with MACD, or raise a termination. MACD is available only in this state.

Termination In Progress

You have raised a termination on an Active service and the Tata Communications-side removal is under way.

Wait for termination to complete. Remember to remove the matching cloud-side resources in your provider’s console.

Terminated

The Tata Communications-side service has been removed.

No further action on the Tata Communications side. Confirm the cloud-side resources are also deleted to stop provider charges.

Termination API Failure

The automated termination did not complete. The backend team terminates the connection manually.

No action needed, manual termination completes the request.

How the states connect

An order normally runs Under Provisioning --> Provisioned --> Active. If automated provisioning fails, the path becomes Under Provisioning --> Provisioning Failed --> (manual configuration) --> Provisioned --> Active. A termination runs Active --> Termination In Progress --> Terminated; if the automated step fails, Termination In Progress --> Termination API Failure --> (manual termination) --> Terminated. The lifecycle diagram on Order Tracking & Status shows these paths in full.
