Tata Communications, a leading communications technology player, today announced two strategic leadership appointments aimed at strengthening its capabilities across network infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity services.

Rupesh Chokshi has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Global Business Head – Network Services and Chief Technology Officer. In addition, Vivek Srivastava has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Business Head – Cloud and Cyber Security Services. Both leaders will be part of the company’s Global Management Committee.

Accelerating Next-Generation Network Leadershiprupesh-chokshi

Rupesh Chokshi brings over 25 years of global leadership experience across networking, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity, and software-defined infrastructure. A seasoned operator, he has successfully driven large-scale innovation by aligning product strategy, engineering, and operations across complex enterprise and carrier environments.

Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Application Security at Akamai Technologies. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at AT&T. Rupesh will lead Tata Communications’ Network Services business, shaping product strategy, advancing AI-led network innovation, and strengthening the company’s global digital infrastructure capabilities.

Scaling Cloud and Cybersecurity Capabilitiesvivek-srivasatava

Vivek Srivastava brings more than 27 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation. He will be joining us from Fortinet, where he currently serves as Country Manager for India & SAARC region, leading one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity businesses in the region.

Over his career, Vivek has held leadership roles at CrowdStrike, Cisco, and IBM, building high-growth businesses and delivering large-scale transformations across enterprise and government sectors. He is widely recognised for his expertise in Cyber, AI security, post-quantum cryptography, and next-generation digital infrastructure. In his new role, Vivek will drive the expansion of Tata Communications’ cloud and cybersecurity portfolio, delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready solutions for enterprises.
