The Tata Communications F1® Innovation Prize gives motorsport and technology fans the opportunity to win $50,000 and shape the future of the sport.

For the fifth consecutive year, Tata Communications, Formula 1® and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport joined forces to reward fans and technology enthusiasts, in the sport’s only global crowdsourced innovation competition. With this year’s challenge, entitled ‘My F1®’, we wanted to put you, the fans, truly into the innovation driving seat. We asked you to imagine and express what your ideal F1 would look like. To do this, you needed to design the ultimate user interface using diverse data points of F1®, to create the most immersive, customised viewing experience ever. In addition to awarding the winner $50,000, this year’s competition includes incubation and prototyping of the winning idea at the Formula 1® Media & Technology Centre. We laid down the challenge to a bold new initiative in Formula 1® and you responded with the most inventive and innovative entries yet. We were overwhelmed with the range of ideas, and while we would love to award each entry a prize, only five finalists could be chosen by our panel of judges, they are:
