    Formula One Management has opened the doors to its new state-of-the-art remote operations centre in Biggin Hill, South East London. Tata Communications’ enhanced connectivity enables the production team to have two multi-view video feeds for raw footage and a reverse data path, allowing them to operate a robotic trackside camera for illuminating race coverage.

  • Tata delivers F1 for Chello DMC

    Tata Communications is providing Official F1 licensee/broadcaster Chello DMC live Formula 1 video feeds via its wholly-owned fibre network for the first time this season. The high-quality video feeds, broadcast on Dutch sports channel Sport1, will be used for the channel’s full 2014 race season coverage.

  • Tata delivers live 4K Formula 1 first

    Tata Communications has delivered the first live 4K feed from a Formula 1 event, achieved during a practice session at the 2014 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, where live footage was delivered end-to-end over Tata Communications’ Global Video Connect Network, to Formula One Management’s (FOM) Technical HQ in Biggin Hill, UK.

  • F1 Connectivity Innovation Prize Announced

    Engineers are being challenged to come up with the next generation of connectivity technologies for Formula 1 racing, in a new $50,000 (£30,000) competition. The F1® Connectivity Innovation Prize, run by technology firm Tata Communications, will encourage entrants to test their creative and technical knowledge by finding ways to solve a series of real-world challenges faced by Formula 1.
