Our global team regularly rolls up its sleeves to participate in global and local initiatives that nurture and sustain people and the environment.

To truly give back, we work hard to ‘take less’. Our commitment in developing ‘green technology‘ such as video collaboration tools, including Telepresence and jamvee™, that conserve energy through reduction in the need for business air travel is unwavering. These initiatives enable both our own business and our customers’ businesses worldwide to reduce their carbon footprint through our technologies.

Employee Volunteering Programme

Our employee volunteering programme aims at enhancing the overall job satisfaction of the employees, while simultaneously impacting the communities we serve. Employees get an opportunity to offer their skills, time and passion to not-for-profit organizations. Volunteering is done all through the year whether it is baking cakes, planting trees or painting local schools and contributing towards environmental conservation. We support many global charities and organizations including CHIP Mumbai, Macmillan Cancer Support and Halogen Foundation. We have clocked more than 24000 volunteering hours in the last two years impacting more than 16000 youth, women, children and other community members.

Tata Sustainability Month

During Tata Sustainability Month 2016, we launched the Sustainability of Things (SoT) – a companywide campaign to unearth ways in which to take advantage of the ‘connectedness’ unleashed by Information and Communications Technology (ICT), in areas such as health, climate change, education, employability, water, sanitation and the like to progress towards the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our SoT 2017 is themed around ‘Business and Beyond which aims to drive the importance of ‘sharing’ and ‘co-creation’ for engendering sustainability in business and society- as part of a Tata group initiative to mobilize and inspire employees across Tata companies to work proactively towards sustainable development.
